Born and raised in Mississippi, Jasmine embarked on her academic journey with a passion for nursing and healthcare administration. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to patient care. Her thirst for knowledge and aspiration for leadership led her to achieve both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, setting the stage for a remarkable career in healthcare management.

Jasmine’s extensive career spans a diverse spectrum of healthcare roles, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the field. She has been a licensed pharmacy technician, where her attention to detail and commitment to patient safety shone brightly. As a dialysis facility administrator, she navigated complex healthcare environments, ensuring quality care for patients with renal conditions. Her leadership skills came to the forefront when she served as the Director of Nursing for an assisted living and memory care facility, where she oversaw the well-being of vulnerable residents at the start of and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jasmine’s journey took a profound turn when she faced the daunting challenge of triple negative breast cancer. Her experience from diagnosis, to treatment, and many surgeries exposed numerous fallacies woven within her home state’s healthcare system. Through courage, resilience, and unwavering determination, she emerged victorious as a survivor. Her personal battle with cancer ignited a fervent passion for healthcare advocacy, particularly for cancer patients and survivors and also those navigating chronic conditions in Mississippi.

Jasmine’s mission to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare landscape culminated in the founding of The Patient Nurse Foundation, LLC. It is a grassroots organization with a mission deeply rooted in addressing healthcare disparities and improving the lives of the socioeconomically disadvantaged population.
